Azteca Appetilla Recipes

HAVE A FIESTA THIS FRIDAY!

HAM APPETILLAS

Ingredients:
1 package Azteca® Super Size Tortillas
2-8 oz. containers cream cheese, softened
1/3 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons chopped green onion
1/4 cup chopped black olives
2 (2 1/2 ounce) packages sliced, pressed, cooked ham

Remove tortillas from refrigerator; let stand at room temperature while preparing filling.
Combine cream cheese, mayonnaise, onions & olives.
Spread a thin layer of cream cheese mixture on each tortilla.
Arrange four ham slices over cheese.
Tightly roll up tortilla.
Wrap individually in plastic wrap.
Repeat for all tortillas.
Refrigerate for at least 3 hours or overnight.
To serve, cut into 3/4" diagonal slices.
Makes approximately 64 pieces.

Prep time: 30 minutes
Chill time: 3 hours

Other Options

CRAB APPETILLAS

Omit black olives & ham.
Add 1/4 cup chopped red pepper, 1 cup shredded cheese & 1 can crab meat (or 5 ounces chopped imitation crab) to the cream cheese mixture.
Continue as directed above.

Ole' APPETILLAS

Omit mayonnaise & ham.
Add 1/2 cup salsa to the cream cheese mixture.
Continues as directed above.

VEGGIE APPETILLAS

Mix together 2 (8 ounce) packages of softened cream cheese with 1/4 cup chopped green olives, 1/2 cup chopped green onion, 1/2 cup finely chopped red bell pepper & 1/2 cup finely chopped green pepper.
Continue as directed above.
